GDPR Overview

Proxypick Limited is committed to full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), EU Regulation 2016/679. This GDPR Policy explains how we collect, process, store, and protect the personal data of our users in accordance with GDPR requirements.

The GDPR applies to any organization processing personal data of EU residents, regardless of where the organization is located. At Proxypick, we process personal data lawfully, fairly, and transparently in accordance with these principles.

We only process personal data when we have a lawful basis to do so. Under GDPR Article 6, our processing activities are based on the following legal bases:

  • Contract Fulfillment (Article 6(1)(b)): Processing necessary to provide our Services and fulfill contractual obligations with users.

Right to Access

You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will provide this information within 30 days of receiving your request, free of charge.

Right to Rectification

You have the right to correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold. We will update your information upon request.

Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten")

You can request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances, such as when data is no longer necessary or consent is withdrawn. We will comply within 30 days unless legal obligations require retention.

Right to Restrict Processing

You can request that we restrict the processing of your personal data while we verify its accuracy or address disputes.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to transmit it to another controller.

Right to Object

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests or for marketing purposes. We will stop processing unless we have compelling legal grounds to continue.

Rights Related to Automated Decision-Making

You have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects. You can request human review of such decisions.

International Data Transfers

Proxypick operates globally, and your personal data may be transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA. We ensure such transfers comply with GDPR through:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs): We use approved SCCs to protect data transferred to non-adequacy jurisdictions.
  • Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs): Where applicable, we implement BCRs for intra-group transfers.
  • Adequacy Decisions: We transfer data to countries recognized as having adequate data protection.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Retention periods vary based on the type of data:

Data Protection Officer

Proxypick has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) responsible for monitoring GDPR compliance and serving as the contact point for data subjects and supervisory authorities.

Supervisory Authority Complaints

If you believe we have violated your GDPR rights, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (supervisory authority). You can find your authority's contact information on the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) website.
